Respect for culture and traditions was what this Tam bram engagement was all about!
Held in Mumbai, this ceremony gave a visit back to the tamil culture.
This wedding was the second in the same family we shot in the last one year. I was really glad they called back upon us to cover the biggest days of their lives!
The best part we loved about these weddings are the people. Such beautiful and humble people, we rarely come across in our daily lives! The love and affection in the entire family truly stood out through out the week long celebrations!
The first event of the week, everybody was visible high on energy! This showed in their dance performances as well as after party. Loved the energy of the parents as well in this event!
The picture with Saud's father dancing on his knees is one of our favourites! :)
Loved the colours through the 2 days - first for Fiza and then for Saud. Saud's was the more action packed one though! They have a ritual where the bride's siblings get hold of the groom's finger and do not let go of it until the bribe is paid! Tiring is an understatement for that!
The Big Day! This day was so full of emotion. This being the second wedding I was covering in their family, even I could feel the mixed emotions of joy & sadness of the bride's family.
Held at the sprawling Cooperage Grounds in Mumbai, the reception was worth photographing every minute. At the end, the reaction of the bride on receiving her surprise wedding gift was worth capturing.
